Justin Souter, Partner

Justin Souter

Justin got his start in technology as a teen electronics hobbyist, technician, and sound engineer. Problem solving skills learned in electronics were important when he turned to writing ground-breaking statistical modeling software for residential real estate appraisal.

Combining his love of music and sound with programming, Justin created digital audio and synthesizer software for Atari and Macintosh computers and later led a ten-person hardware/software development team for Hybrid Arts' digital audio workstation.

Next Justin co-founded a software services firm where he developed an Academy Award-winning film sound system. He also created many other applications for companies like Disney, Apple, 20th Century Fox, and Yamaha.  After leaving the software services firm, which had grown to over 40 developers, Justin has served as a "virtual CTO" to several start-up companies, developed sophisticated hedge fund trading systems, created high-volume loyalty transaction software, and architected a print-on-demand process automation system with million-order volume.

Justin's success in software is owed to problem solving, intuition, a love of learning, business sense, and a willingness to ask questions.
